Dan's journey began on a family farm, where he learned the intricacies of agriculture from a young age. From caring for hogs to cultivating crops like corn, alfalfa, soybeans, and sorghum, he understands the dedication and hard work required to uphold our agricultural heritage.
As a proud Eagle Scout and a member of FFA, Dan has always been deeply embedded in his community. He knows the significance of service and leadership, which led him to join the Nebraska Army National Guard during his time at the University of Nebraska Lincoln.
Dan's commitment to leadership extends further. As a Nebraska LEAD Program Fellow, the premier agricultural leadership development program in the nation, he gained invaluable insights into agricultural policy, economics, and technology.
For over three decades, Dan has lent his expertise to serve farmers, offering unwavering support and guidance. But his dedication transcends the fields. As a high school wrestling official for 33 years, he's been a mentor and role model to countless young athletes.
Family lies in the fiber of Dan's being. Married for 28 years to his beloved wife Traci and a proud father of four children, he understands the importance of preserving our way of life for future generations.
